The Crossings vineyards are located in the Awatere and Wairau sub-regions of Marlborough, New Zealand, where vines flourish under brilliant sunshine and cool coastal breezes. Close to the Pacific Ocean and neighboring rivers, there’s a refreshing vibrancy captured in every glass of The Crossings wine.
OUR VINEYARDS
The Crossings wines are a pure and elegant expression of Marlborough, New Zealand’s most prominent winemaking district, known for delivering Sauvignon Blancs with explosive flavors and zesty vibrancy.
With vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau subregions of Marlborough, surrounded by mountain ranges, a wild river and the Pacific Ocean, The Crossings create perfectly balanced and refreshing wines.
The extreme climate of hot days and cool nights produces slow-ripening grapes, creating the intense, concentrated fruit flavors and crisp acidity that have become synonymous with New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
WINEMAKING
Angela Walsh’s journey into winemaking began in Wanaka, where a role in the winery at Rippon Vineyard ignited a lasting interest. Inspired to learn more, and with a Bachelor of Science already under her belt, she went on to complete a graduate diploma in Winemaking and Viticulture at EIT.
Eventually her new career brought her back home to Marlborough, spending four years at Villa Maria gaining valuable experience in winery and laboratory operations. Angela joined Seaview Estate in 2017 as Assistant Winemaker, and her passion for crafting quality wines progressed her through roles, becoming Senior Winemaker in November 2024, and most recently taking on the exciting role as Head Winemaker for The Crossings.
Outside of the winery, Angela loves spending time in the outdoors with her family, skiing, mountain biking, or exploring the Marlborough Sounds.
