The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc 2020 is an elegant and fresh style wine, with generous tropical fruit flavours with hints of citrus and fresh herbs. The palate is filled with pure fruit flavours, nicely balanced with a lingering crisp mineral finish.
Beneath the towering peak of Mt. Tapuae-o-Uenuku, where early settlers crossed the fast-flowing Awatere River, our distinct riverside vineyards produce wines of intense varietal character and vibrant acidity.
The Crossings wines are sourced from our wild riverside vineyards in the Awatere Valley. Gouged out by ancient glaciers, The Awatere Valley is Marlborough’s most dramatic and most premium winegrowing sub-region. It is the southern-most, driest and coolest of the three sub-regions, boasting a rich diversity of soil structures, large diurnal shifts and slow-ripening grapes for more intense fruit flavours and fresher, crisper acids.
The careful cultivation of each vineyard around the natural features of the land, from terraces and natural vegetation to original seed plantings, is a demonstration of our commitment to sustainable winegrowing. Explore our distinctive riverside vineyards to find out more.
